how i spent memorial day

at coney island:

this image has not been photoshopped. lost the lens cap in the crush walking along the boardwalk. then i got my sunscreened arm all over the lens. and there ya have it: 'vintage haze'.
also, i love this jumper. only thing i have ever bought from hudson jeans and i've never looked back.

i adore this girl.

we were in the front car. if you zoom the shot (can u do that when u click it?) you'll see me looking freaked out. damn wooden coasters...had a talk with the 2 engineers that accompanied us about how unsafe these things are (chickenshits...) and watched, while waiting on line, as the tracks rattled and the whole shebang shook every time the cars rattled over the rails. terrifying. and so worth it.

a lot less composed after we got off...

at home (way before memorial day):

little mylo

little mylo being a punkface and turning away every time i pointed the camera at him.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Remember those cheesy post-summer reports you had to do on summer vacation as a kid? This is mine. Keep in mind my restrictive work schedule allowed me only 3 days worth of 'vacation'. Bums.

I live in a major metropolitan area and I don't think I've ever been surrounded by so many gay men. Or felt so welcomed by them.

It's also amazing how surreal it can be seeing something so huge and potentially destructive so near to you. One of these suckers tapped our boat from beneath as it dove. I can't swim, but figured hey, what the hell...if I'm going to die in the ocean may as well be on a nice day surrounded by all these cool whales. Wish I could've seen a blue.
