so i couldn't find a decent shot of my birthday outfit. well, except this one:

which would look like this if i were ballin'.

a pox on you, student budget. and dark restaurant.

at least my hair looked nice:
but that shit was blurry too.

anyhoo, i learned that drenching my hair in molasses with a dash of honey and a deep conditioner definitely helps make my curls 'pop'. so long as i DON'T COMB IT. haven't combed it since. curls look AWESOME. tangles...another story. gonna have to re-negotiate this situation. >:-(

i think you looke great - blurry photos or not. i actually like blurry pics as i hate flash, especially indoors.

since you mention your curly hair, have you seen that documentary by Chris Rock, 'Good Hair'? i thought it was fascinating. there's so much more to mainstream aesthetics of women's hair that speaks to larger issues...

Aww, happy belated birthday! You're a fellow Capricorn (which I believe you pointed out on my blog during my birthday). Here's to the start of a fabulous year, my dear. And your hair does look good!

Hey, a very belated happy birthday!

The black swan outfit was actually from two weekends ago when temps were hovering in the high 40s. I don't always post in chronological order because often I'll wear very similar outfits 2 days in a row so I try to break the posts up a bit, lol.

It's a dangerous road down leather lane! It's like a neverending revolving door of wants. The new Les Chiff collection on luisaviaroma is calling my name...

Thanks for the C21 report. I hear they're opening a new one near Lincoln Center.
